In February and March, we partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Socitm to deliver an online education programme for senior local government officers.

We were joined by more than 150 individuals from over 75 local authorities across the country to distil lessons from years of digital transformation into a hands-on learning experience.

The Microsoft and Socitm Change Agent programme is returning for a 2-day programme (7 and 16 June) and 5-day programme (19 to 23 June). It's free for the majority of Microsoft Enterprise Agreement public sector customers.

Delegates will learn about a range of technologies and gain an understanding of the skills they need to support change. Those taking part in the Change Agent programme will also have the opportunity to learn from industry experts and staff from other local authorities, helping build communities of practice to collaborate.

A cohort of councils, led by Redbridge and Hackney and supported by TPXimpact, have been working to understand the challenges of existing housing technologies, and to develop options for breaking legacy lock-in. They're looking for volunteers with digital, housing services or finance perspectives to share any anecdotes on the challenges of 'business as usual' in housing services.
